Territorial transition and deployment: CC's commitment to the south of Gran Canaria

The Island Political Council of the Canary Coalition has executed a key strategic move to try to regain influence in the complex political landscape of southern Gran Canaria. Following the renewal of its Local Committees, the party has approved a new organizational structure aimed at professionalizing its territorial presence. The objective is to synchronize the roadmaps of each municipality to offer a cohesive alternative, moving away from the image of isolated factions and strengthening political action that responds, municipality by municipality, to the economic and social challenges that the party identifies as priorities for the island's growth.

This organizational strengthening is accompanied by a shift towards a more grassroots approach to politics, with which the Canary Coalition aims to reduce the distance between the institution and the people. The island's highest governing body has agreed on a participation agenda that will focus on direct dialogue with citizen groups, seeking to institutionalize active listening as a tool for oversight and proposal-making. With this strategy, the nationalists are trying to reconnect with an electorate that demands a greater presence of political parties in community life, giving the organization a social reach that they consider essential for influencing island governance.

The centerpiece of this new political offensive will be the 'Gran Canaria Needs You' initiative, scheduled to launch in the coming weeks. According to the latest Political Council meeting, this project aims to be the umbrella under which all citizen participation activities for the year will be coordinated, giving the productive and social sectors a voice in the party's decision-making. With this agenda, the Canary Coalition seeks to gain ground in Gran Canaria's public opinion, presenting itself as a renewed, structured organization, and above all, one focused on the immediate realities of the island's citizens.
