The Island Council launches the portal eventosgrancanaria.com, which brings together all the events promoted or in collaboration with public entities on the island

The platform is available in ten languages and already has more than 350 published events.

The Gran Canaria Island Council today presented the new Gran Canaria Events Portal, a digital platform that brings together in one place the main events held on the island and which is now available both on the Island Council's corporate website and through the link eventsgrancanaria.com.

During the presentation of this new portal, the President of the Island Council, Antonio Morales, highlighted the participation of the island's municipalities, as well as other public institutions, "to make it possible for us to easily and intuitively access the cultural, sporting, and leisure activities taking place in each municipality." "It's a very easy tool for communication and for staying informed, both for those of us who live in Gran Canaria and for those who visit us from other islands or from abroad," the President added.

This new platform, designed and technically developed by the Economic Promotion Society of Gran Canaria (SPEGC) and the Society for the Development of Telecommunications (SODETEGC), was created as a public service with the aim of offering a single point of consultation, in which to easily and always keep up to date, locate the events that are held in Gran Canaria promoted by public entities or that have their collaboration.

The portal also constitutes a useful tool for companies and public administrations linked to the events sector, especially in the case of those of greater size and with an impact on the environment where they are developed, facilitating planning and decision-making.

Currently, the portal already lists more than 350 upcoming events, organized by category, date, municipality, and venue, allowing for quick and thematic searches based on each user's interests. The calendar integrates information from the Gran Canaria Island Council, city councils and municipal centers, as well as entities such as the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium Foundation, the Cuyás and Guiniguada Theatres, Infecar, the Gran Canaria Arena, and the Gran Canaria Stadium, among others. It will also highlight local events supported by public administrations.

Each event includes clear and structured information, such as the date, time, a description, and a link to the organizer's official website. It also incorporates an interactive map of Gran Canaria, allowing users to visually locate events and directly access their location on Google Maps. As additional features, the platform allows users to share events through other applications and add them directly to Google Calendar without leaving the website.

The Gran Canaria Events Portal is available in ten languages — Spanish, English, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Dutch, French, Swedish and Russian —, making it easy to access not only for island residents but also for foreign users, thus helping to broaden the knowledge of the cultural, sporting and leisure offerings among tourists visiting the island.
