Southern Gran Canaria is gearing up for one of the most crucial job fairs of the year. Under the slogan "Your next job opportunity awaits," the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has confirmed the SBT 2026 Job Fair, an event that will transform the area around the Maspalomas Cultural Center and Plaza del Camelrero into a major in-person recruitment hub. This year, the Spanish Army, through its Canary Islands Command, is positioning itself as one of the most attractive institutions for young people in the municipality, offering a career path based on stability, technical training, and public service values, thus establishing itself as a real and competitive career option compared to traditional sectors.

The security and law enforcement agencies will share the spotlight with the island's powerful retail and food sector. Major chains like HiperDino, Aldi, and Spar Gran Canaria will be present at the event looking to expand their workforces, alongside leading retail firms such as Multiópticas, Skechers, The Mint Company, Koalabay, McDonald's, and Fund Grube. This diverse range of companies will allow job seekers to explore positions ranging from logistics and sales to more specialized roles in fashion and customer service, all in a single day of direct contact with Human Resources managers.

As expected in the Canary Islands' tourism sector, the hospitality industry will have a strong presence, with the region's most important hotel chains in attendance. Companies such as Lopesan, Grupo Martinón, Satocan, Anfi, HD Hoteles, Seaside Hoteles, Cordial, H10 Hotels, Bulls Hotels, and Gloria Talasso & Hotels will be present to recruit talent at a crucial time for the industry. Applicants will be able to submit their resumes in person, eliminating the barriers of online job portals and establishing a human connection, which is vital in the service sector of the island's south.

The exhibition also dedicates a crucial space to training and social action, recognizing that employability requires continuous learning. Organizations such as the Cibervoluntarios Foundation, ICSE, Ecca Social, Ecca.edu, Irissocial, Cáritas, the Red Cross, and Femepa will offer comprehensive guidance, along with the Construction Industry Labor Foundation and the University Foundation of Las Palmas. Furthermore, local educational support will be guaranteed through the participation of IES Faro, IES Tamara, IES Amurga, and IES Tablero (Aguañac), as well as centers like Liceo 2000, Master, ADF Formación, Focan, and Birced Bienestar, ensuring that visitors leave with a clear roadmap for their future.

Finally, the event will feature state-of-the-art job management tools and institutional support. Placement agencies and temporary employment agencies such as Randstad, Eurofirms, Emplea, and Inserta will work closely with the Canary Islands Employment Service (SCE) to guide attendees. The presence of organizations like Gehocan, Employmentandlife, Emergencias Costa Canaria SL, and COAG Canarias completes a comprehensive job fair that aims to leave no one behind. All interested parties are encouraged to bring updated resumes to take advantage of this unique opportunity that connects, in a single day, the talent of San Bartolomé de Tirajana with the productive heart of the Canary Islands.
