The SPAR Gran Canaria group has reopened SPAR El Pino, one of its stores in Vecindario, after a complete renovation of its facilities, providing customers with an improved shopping experience. The store's refurbishment is part of the supermarket chain's modernization and expansion strategy.

The retail space has been expanded with this reopening, going from 257 square meters to 300, adding the cafeteria, pastry shop and prepared food sections to offer its clientele a fast and top quality service.
The space has also been reorganized to make better use of it, and the areas for butchery, delicatessen, bakery, fruit and vegetable stores, the chain's strength in fresh produce, have been expanded.
The opening was attended by the general manager of SPAR Gran Canaria, Dunia Pérez; the mayor of Vecindario, Francisco José García; and the councilor for Commerce, Tourism, Coastline, Contracting and Consulting of the town, Verónica Suárez, as well as a large number of the company's partners and franchisees.
One of the key aspects of this restructuring is the technological upgrade aimed at improving sustainability. The new SPAR El Pino store features new fixtures and state-of-the-art equipment, such as integrated CO02 gas refrigeration systems, high-efficiency refrigerated display cases, and LED lighting. With these improvements, the chain intends to reduce the store's environmental footprint by improving energy efficiency and saving on energy consumption.
The store also offers immediate delivery service through SPAR Gran Canaria's strategic quick-commerce partners Uber Eats and Glovo, in line with our omnichannel strategy.
The supermarket remains committed to supporting Canarian agriculture and locally sourced products, offering fresh selections and products from local suppliers, as it has done previously. It also maintains its usual opening hours, operating from 8:00 a.m. to 22:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
As a reopening promotion, the establishment has a wide catalog of offers, including various discounts on all kinds of products, as well as gifts for the first eighty people who visited the store.
SPAR El Pino will continue to offer personalized and friendly service to its customers, retaining its professional team and creating two new jobs to ensure the quality of service and the trust of the residents of the area.
