The Department of Festivities of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has officially announced that the 1.000 tickets available for the Maspalomas International Carnival Drag Queen Gala 2026 will be distributed next Thursday, March 12. To ensure equitable access to one of the most emblematic events of the southern carnival, the organizers have decided to implement a hybrid distribution method. Those interested can obtain their tickets starting at 09:00 AM, both in person and online.
Ticket distribution will be split 50/50 to facilitate access for different audiences. On one hand, 500 tickets will be made available online through the website. www.entradascanarias.comJust as was done in 2025. Meanwhile, the remaining 500 tickets will be distributed in person at the main plaza of the Yumbo Shopping Center. In this latter case, distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so punctuality is recommended for those choosing this method to guarantee their seat. Only two tickets per person may be collected.
The Councillor for Tourism, Festivities and Events, Yilenia Vega, emphasized that "our priority is for Carnival to remain a celebration open to everyone. By offering tickets in both formats, we eliminate barriers and allow the essence of the Drag Gala to reach everyone equally."
Finally, on Friday morning, the professional jury released the pre-selection list for the 2026 edition. After evaluating the staging and artistic quality of the submitted entries, a total of 12 finalists will compete for the crown, including names such as Hefesto, Sequins, Acrux, Eiko, Yshia Taisma, Armek, Shiky, Ego, Ignea, and Avalon. Following a tie and a public deliberation, the jury completed the list with Los Turkish and La Giovadrag.
