MASPALOMAS INTERNATIONAL CARNIVAL PROGRAM 2026
The Maspalomas International Carnival stage, inspired this year by "The World of the Circus," is preparing to host one of its most cherished events: the Grand Dame Gala. The event will take place this Thursday, March 12th, as part of a program that runs until the 22nd and aims to solidify the town's position as a leading tourist and festive destination. This year's gala will feature two performances that promise to thrill and get the audience dancing: Falete and Pepe Benavente.
Falete, a Sevillian artist born into a family of musicians—son of Falín, a founding member of Cantores de Híspalis—is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary copla and flamenco. With a career marked by the success of albums like Amar duele, he has been mentored by figures of the stature of Rocío Jurado. His unique style, which combines power with a deeply felt and theatrical performance, makes him the ideal guest for an evening where elegance and experience take center stage.
Meanwhile, the Canarian flair and joy will come courtesy of Pepe Benavente. The Tenerife-born singer, whose career took off in popular and orchestral music, is an essential figure at the archipelago's festivities. Known for his charisma and ability to connect with all generations, Benavente is an icon of Canarian festive culture. His songs, which invite dancing and shared celebration, will ensure that the Gala de la Gran Dama is a true celebration.
Finally, it is worth remembering that the float announcing the Maspalomas International Carnival will travel through the main streets of the southern town during the afternoon of Tuesday, March 10, and that the Carnival will officially begin the following day, Wednesday, March 11, at the CC Yumbo with the official presentation of all the candidates and the draw for the order of participation of the same in the galas.
