The supermarket chain generates savings in family spending thanks to this tax break, which seeks to ease the economic burden on Canary Island households.
211 essential products have reduced their prices in SPAR Gran Canaria stores following the reduction of the IGIC (Canary Islands General Indirect Tax) from 3% to 0%, a tax reduction that aims to generate savings in family spending and ease the economic burden on Canary Island households.
The measure by the Canary Islands Government aims to reduce the tax burden on families and, with it, decrease the spending of island residents when purchasing basic products such as butter, salt or coffee.
SPAR Gran Canaria applies the IGIC reduction in a timely manner and also adjusts retail prices, which facilitates extra savings for the consumer that is immediately reflected in the purchase receipt.
The director of SPAR Gran Canaria, Dunia Pérez, highlighted that the chain has acted with total transparency and applied the measures in accordance with current regulations, with the aim of ensuring that families notice an "immediate and direct" benefit in their daily shopping.
Dunia Pérez explained that the company's commitment is "to facilitate access to basic products and contribute to the well-being of Canary Island families."
The products to which the discount applies are available in all SPAR Gran Canaria stores, ensuring access for customers at their nearest point of sale.
