The Lopesan Group has implemented a profound administrative restructuring of its corporate structure to simplify decision-making and unify its governance. Through a series of changes implemented in late April, the holding company has reduced the number of board members to a maximum of four in approximately twenty of its key companies. This move has resulted in the mass dismissal of board members and senior technical staff in strategic subsidiaries, ranging from hotel management and leisure activities in southern Gran Canaria to its construction and financial investment divisions.
The reorganization of the Lopesan Group, implemented on April 22, 2026, has resulted in a massive wave of resignations and adjustments to the governance of its companies. At Bitumex, the resignations of board members Antonio Carlos Rodríguez Pérez and Jaime Luis Pereira González have been formalized, along with the departure of non-board member deputy secretary Santiago de Armas Fariña, reducing the board to four members. An identical scheme has been applied at Casticar, with the resignations of Antonio Carlos Rodríguez Pérez and Santiago de Armas Fariña, also reducing its board of directors to four members.
At Costa Canaria de Veneguera, Aticus Ocaña Martín has stepped down as board member and secretary, and has been immediately appointed non-board member secretary. At the same time, Santiago de Armas Fariña has left his position as non-board member deputy secretary, reducing the board to four members. Meanwhile, at Lopesan Asfaltos y Construcciones, the resignations of board members Antonio Carlos Rodríguez Pérez and Jaime Luis Pereira González, along with that of non-board member deputy secretary Santiago de Armas Fariña, have been processed, further limiting the board to four members.
Hotel operations also reflect these changes. At Lopesan Hotel Management, board members Antonio Carlos Rodríguez and Pablo Lorenzo Martínez have stepped down, as has the non-board member deputy secretary, Andrés Fermoso Labra, who passed away, leaving the board with four members. At Lopesan Touristik and Lorcar Asesores, Antonio Carlos Rodríguez Pérez and Santiago de Armas Fariña have also stepped down, following the same policy of reducing the board to four members. At LS Shared Investments, Pablo Lorenzo Martínez has left his position as board member, and Andrés Fermoso Labra has left his position as non-board member deputy secretary.
In the resorts and leisure sector, Maspalomas Resort has announced the departure of board member Enrique Daniel Montes Medina and deputy secretary Santiago de Armas Fariña. At Megahotel Faro, board member Begoña Ramírez Trujillo has stepped down, while at Meloneras Golf, Promociones Faro, and Interhotelera Española, board member Pablo Lorenzo Martínez has left. In all these cases, Santiago de Armas Fariña has also stepped down as non-board deputy secretary, and the boards will now consist of four members.
At Oasis Beach Maspalomas, Daniel Gámez Baños has stepped down as a board member. At Promociones Taidia and Varadero Center, everything remains the same, except in the event of Andrés Fermoso's death, in which case the board will be restructured. At Creativ Hotel Buenaventura, board member Juan Ojeda Mesa has stepped down, and at Cook-Event Canarias, board member Ignacio Bernaldo de Quirós Zubizarreta has resigned. All of these companies have seen Santiago de Armas Fariña step down as deputy secretary, and their boards of directors have been reduced to four members.
