Europe's only swimwear fashion show will be held from June 24 to 27 on the island

The countdown to Gran Canaria Swim Week 2026 is underway following an exclusive event in Madrid that kicked off the next edition of Europe's most important international swimwear fashion event. This new edition of GCSW focuses on beauty and well-being, connecting swimwear with self-care, confidence, and healthy habits.

The Hotel Nômade Temple, one of the capital's newest additions, hosted the event where specialized press, content creators, institutions, and industry friends gathered to learn firsthand about the new features of the next edition of the fashion show, which will be held for the first time from June 24 to 27, 2026, in Gran Canaria. This change of dates aims to align with the bathing season and the interests of the sector, adapting to wholesale purchasing cycles and reinforcing its international standing.

Minerva Alonso, Councilor for Economic Development, Industry, Commerce, and Crafts of the Gran Canaria Island Council, highlighted the unique nature of Gran Canaria Swim Week as an international platform for showcasing the island's expertise in swimwear. The Councilor emphasized that the presence of Canarian brands allows the island to share "part of our culture, our way of life, and our landscape" with the world, reinforcing the distinct identity of a sector that sets Gran Canaria apart within the fashion industry.

Alonso also highlighted the institutional support for the event, which boasts a public investment exceeding three million euros, and its impact on the island's economy. In this regard, he emphasized the work Gran Canaria Moda Cálida is doing to promote, professionalize, and internationalize local brands and strengthen the sector's competitiveness.
