The works scheduled by the Department of Roads and Works with exclusively municipal funds will take place from 07:00 to 19:00 hours
The Department of Roads and Works of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council informs residents and users of motorized vehicles that next Monday, June 8, the Wind-Surfing Avenue, in the Bahía Feliz area, will be closed for resurfacing works.
The works on this inland road parallel to the Avenida de la Unión Europea (GC-500) will be carried out between 07:00 and 19:00, and will result in the improvement of the surface of the almost 900 linear meters that go from the roundabout accessing the Hotel Playa Bahía Feliz to the parking area located in front of the Altamar hotel complex, which will also be resurfaced.
With the aim of minimizing access and traffic problems that these works may cause, the Department headed by Araceli Armas Cruz posted notices in the area this Thursday announcing the construction, in accordance with the street closure order issued by Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez. The notice requests the cooperation of workers, suppliers, and hotel guests to refrain from driving on Monday and to remove all parked vehicles from the area.
Citizens are also advised that the paving works will begin in the Altamar complex area and will progress south-north towards the roundabout at the entrance to the Playa Bahía Feliz Hotel, to allow access for suppliers and tourist service buses through this entrance early in the morning and only until 10:00 a.m.
These road resurfacing works on Wind-Surfing Avenue, which is quite deteriorated due to heavy use, are being carried out by the Department of Roads and Public Works with entirely municipal funds. The works also include repainting all the road markings for the parking areas located on both sides of the road. This work will take place on Tuesday the 9th and Wednesday the 10th.
