The Department of Citizen Participation is launching a new round of participatory workshops to continue developing the new Citizen Participation Regulations for San Bartolomé de Tirajana. This new session will allow the results obtained during the initial meetings to be shared with the public and will help validate and finalize the proposals already collected.
In addition, the sessions will serve to complete the work on blocks 4 and 5 of the draft regulations, incorporating new citizen contributions that will help enrich the final document.
First Deputy Mayor Alejandro Marichal emphasized that this new round of meetings will strengthen the dialogue initiated with residents during the initial workshops. “We are demonstrating that citizen participation doesn't end when residents are heard. Now we are returning to the neighborhoods to present the results, validate the proposals, and continue improving the document together with the community,” he stated. Marichal added that the goal is for the future Citizen Participation Regulations to be a useful and accessible tool, built through consensus and adapted to the municipality's specific needs.
For his part, the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Ruyman Cardoso, explained that these new meetings will allow them to complete and validate the work done during the first round of workshops. “We will present the work done so far and gather new input to complete the remaining sections before the final drafting of the regulations,” he stated.
Cardoso also emphasized that this new round will allow them to see how the residents' proposals gathered in the initial meetings have been incorporated. "We want citizens to be able to see the results of their contributions and continue participating in the development of regulations that will define the relationship between residents and the City Council for years to come," he concluded.
The workshops are free and open to all citizens. Although attendance is free, the council encourages prior registration through the participatory process website, where all working documents are also available for consultation and download.

• The Board: June 17, 18:00 p.m. Senior Center.
• Juan Grande: June 18, 18:00 p.m. Juan Grande Residents' Association.
• San Fernando: June 19, 18:00 p.m. Senior Center.
• Fataga: June 22, 18:00 p.m. Fataga Residents Association.
During each meeting, refreshments with coffee will be offered to attendees.
