Men rob a jewelry store in Playa del Inglés and are arrested after a chase that ended in an accident in Telde

 

A large-scale police operation carried out this Saturday in Gran Canaria led to the arrest of three suspects in the robbery of a jewelry store located in Playa del Inglés, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The suspects fled the scene after committing the robbery and escaped by road, triggering a coordinated pursuit involving various law enforcement agencies.

 

 

The chase continued for several kilometers into the municipality of Telde. According to reports, the vehicle used by the fugitives crashed on the road connecting Las Huesas and El Caracol, colliding with a building located next to the road. Following the collision, officers acted quickly to secure the area and prevent another escape.

 

Two of the occupants were arrested next to the wrecked car, while another suspect was located and arrested shortly afterward as he tried to escape on foot in the surrounding area. A fourth person involved managed to evade the police cordon and is still being sought. The investigation remains open to clarify all the details of the robbery and determine the value of the stolen goods.
