The People's Party of the Canary Islands and the Residents' Association (AV) officially merged this Saturday in Maspalomas with the signing of an agreement that incorporates the group led by the mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana , Marco Aurelio Pérez, into the People's Party's platform . The event was attended by the regional president of the People's Party, Manuel Domínguez , as well as representatives, members, and supporters of both organizations.
During his speech, Domínguez emphasized that this union represents an important step toward consolidating a shared political project in Gran Canaria and the Canary Islands . The Popular Party leader asserted that the integration strengthens the party's structure for future elections and defended the collaborative work that both parties have maintained in San Bartolomé de Tirajana over the past few years.
For his part, Marco Aurelio Pérez noted that the agreement will allow them to combine experience, management capacity, and human resources to face the challenges of the coming years.
