Judith PezoaA native of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, she is a soprano of renowned international prestige. She graduated with top honors in Voice and Piano from the Canary Islands Higher Conservatory of Music, receiving the End-of-Studies Prize in Voice. She also received the Distinction of Honor in Voice from the International Academy of Music in Nice and was recognized as an outstanding student at the Rossini Academy in Pesaro.
Throughout her career, she has perfected her vocal technique alongside great masters such as Luciana Serra, Francisco Kraus, Mariella Devia, Alberto Zedda y Maria OranShe has won awards in prestigious international competitions such as those held in Turin, Logroño, Colmenar Viejo, Ópera de Tenerife and Cajacanarias.
His artistic career has taken him to numerous emblematic theaters and auditoriums: Pérez Galdós, Reina Victoria, Alfredo Kraus, Adán Martín, La Maestranza (Spain), as well as international stages in Nice, Padua, Udine, Monza, Milan, Busto Arsizio, Varese, and Pesaro. In all of them, he has performed leading operatic and zarzuela roles such as Rigoletto, Die Zauberflöte, Cosi fan Tutte, The elixir of love, La Traviata, Lucia di Lammermoor, The Fille du Regiment, La Boheme, Dona Francisquita, The Barber of Seville, Marina o Carmina BuranaHe has worked under the musical direction of figures such as Eric Hull, Miquel Ortega, Alessandro D'Agostini, Pedro Halfter or Víctor Pablo Pérez.
Commitment to teaching and promoting singing
Throughout her professional career, Judith Pezoa has been consistently involved in teaching and research on singing. She holds a diploma in Advanced Studies in Didactics of Musical Expression and has extensive teaching experience both nationally and internationally.
She has been a tenured professor of singing at the Canary Islands Higher Conservatory of Music and has collaborated by giving masterclasses and specialized symposia. In 2012, she participated as a Guest Assistant for Musical Training at the Jacopo Tomadini State Conservatory (Udine, Italy) and taught advanced courses organized by leading entities such as the Tenerife Island Council's Choir Network.
She is currently a tenured professor of Vocal Technique at the Tenerife Auditorium Choir School. For the fourth consecutive year, she is carrying on the pedagogical legacy of María Orán by teaching the 13th 'María Orán' Course on Vocal Technique and Interpretation in Garachico (Tenerife).
