A fire was reported this afternoon Thursdays in a single family Home de doctoral, in the municipality of Santa Lucia de Tirajana, caused significant material damage upon completely calcining the greenhouse installed on the roof of the buildingThe incident occurred in Victoria Street and generated an intense column of smoke which quickly alerted the residents of the area.
Upon their arrival, the Firefighters They confirmed that the flames were affecting a greenhouse of approximately Sqm 15which had already been practically destroyed by the fire. The firefighters carried out the work of extinguishing, cooling and roof inspection to prevent any possible reactivation of the fire and ensure that the flames did not spread to neighboring homes.
Agents from the Local Police of Santa Lucía de Tirajana and effective personnel of the Civil Guard (Guardia Civil)who secured the perimeter and facilitated the work of the emergency teams. Thanks to the rapid intervention, the fire resulted in no injuries and only caused material damage. The operation concluded at 14:50hwhile the causes of the fire remain under investigation.
