Gran Canaria Swim Week 2026 confirms the island as the international capital of swimwear fashion

Gran Canaria has once again strengthened its international image thanks to a historic edition of Gran Canaria Swim Week 2026, which brought together 41 brands, attracted buyers and specialized media from around the world and exceeded 1,92 million views on social media

Gran Canaria has once again placed itself on the international fashion map with the closing of Gran Canaria Swim Week 2026This edition confirms the island's growing importance as a European benchmark for swimwear fashion. For four days, Expomeloneras and Perchel Beach Club hosted fashion shows, professional meetings, and commercial activities that brought together designers, buyers, specialized press, and important international figures in the sector.

 

One of the indicators that best reflects the reach of the event is its media impact. This year's edition has exceeded 1,92 million views on social media, while the communication strategy has allowed it to reach a potential audience of 275 million people across print, television, radio, and digital media. Furthermore, after the more than €5,08 million in advertising return achieved in the previous edition, forecasts indicate that the 2026 results will be even better.

 

The change of dates has also proven decisive in increasing the presence of international buyers and specialized media, fostering new business contacts and an increase in sales closed during the event. This increased activity consolidates Gran Canaria Swim Week as a business platform for the sector and reinforces the international positioning of the island.

 

The edition brought together 41 signatures, of which 28 were from the Canary IslandsCombining major international brands with emerging designers, the catwalk featured labels such as Dolores Cortés, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Women'secret, Chantelle, Melissa Odabash, Banana Moon, and Miss Bikini, alongside new talents who continue to drive creativity in the sector.

 

The catwalk also featured renowned models and influencers such as Aída Artiles, Ariadne Artiles, Valentina Ferrer, Rocío CrussetMarta Torné, Alba Díaz, Leonie Hanne and Hanan Besovic, whose participation amplified the international impact of the event and attracted the attention of leading magazines and media specializing in fashion.

 

In the awards section, Camila CTG received the award for Best Collection, Chacho SVNRS She won the White Milano Award, which will allow her to participate in one of the main international fairs in the sector, and Sandra Jaurrieta was awarded the Best Emerging Collection Award.

 

Beyond the catwalk, the 2026 edition served to strengthen alliances with international fashion organizations and foster closer collaboration between the tourism, audiovisual, and creative industries.
