This year the Fair celebrates its 19th edition, in which representatives of traditional and contemporary trades will once again be present.
Craft professionals from the island will take advantage of this meeting to showcase their work and sell the items they have been working on for months.
The Gran Canaria Summer South Craft Fair will open its doors on August 7th near the Maspalomas Lighthouse. This iconic location in southern Gran Canaria will host the 19th edition of this showcase for ten days, highlighting the work of artisans from across the island.
Once again this summer, dozens of artisans from different municipalities of Gran Canaria will be present at this fair to show the items made by hand with dedication, in which they imprint part of the history of Canarian culture and on which they have been working for months.
From August 7 to 16, citizens and visitors who are in the south of the island during those days will be able to enjoy a different walk around the vicinity of the Maspalomas Lighthouse and meet in person the professionals who lovingly work on leather goods, soap, toys, textiles, jewelry... dozens of traditional and contemporary crafts that transmit the value of the roots of the Canary Islands through original and special creations.
Between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. each day, visitors can come and discover and purchase these unique items, while also admiring the trades represented and enjoying musical performances that liven up the tour.

The Gran Canaria Summer South Craft Fair is promoted and funded by the Gran Canaria Island Council, through the Fund for Ethnography and the Development of Canarian Crafts (FEDAC), and organized by INFECAR, the Gran Canaria Trade Fair. The event also has the support of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council.
