The National Police have arrested a man for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery at a jewelry store in the El Mirador shopping center in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The perpetrators, wearing hoods, broke several display cases with a fire extinguisher and blunt objects before fleeing in a stolen vehicle.

The robbery took place on the afternoon of July 7th , when several hooded individuals entered the store and used a fire extinguisher and blunt objects to smash several display cases and steal various pieces of jewelry.
During the robbery, the employees managed to leave the jewelry store without sustaining any injuries. After the incident, the perpetrators fled the scene in a vehicle that had been reported stolen in the Ojos de Garza area . The car was located shortly afterward by officers as part of the police operation launched after receiving the report. Inside, they found items related to the robbery, including jewelry tags, a display stand, a fire extinguisher, and other objects of interest to the investigation.
The investigations carried out by the Judicial Police Group of the South District Police Station made it possible to identify and arrest one of the alleged perpetrators as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with violence and intimidation.
The investigation remains open under the direction of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade with the aim of fully clarifying the facts, recovering the stolen goods, and determining the involvement of the other individuals implicated. The National Police do not rule out further arrests in the coming days.
