A 47-year-old worker dies after being crushed by a cement mixer during a workplace accident in San Bartolomé de Tirajana

The worker, a resident of Telde, died last Tuesday while participating in the removal of a cement mixer truck in the El Salobre area. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.

 

A 47-year-old worker died on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 14, after suffering a serious workplace accident in the El Salobre area , in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana . The deceased, a resident of Telde , was participating in the removal of a cement mixer truck when the accident occurred.

 

According to information available so far, the heavy vehicle began to move unexpectedly during the maneuvers. The operator was struck by the cement mixer, becoming trapped and suffering fatal injuries. As a result of the impact, his body fell down a slope near the work site.

 

Emergency services and law enforcement arrived at the scene , but could only confirm the worker's death. Subsequently, officers began the corresponding investigations to clarify the circumstances surrounding the accident.
