The 11th Canaluz Summer Basketball Clinic continues to establish itself as much more than just a sports training camp. Yesterday afternoon, participants traded their basketballs for CPR techniques for a few minutes, taking part in a practical session of the "Cardio-Protected Basketball" project, an initiative that promotes first aid training so that sport can also become a life-saving tool.
The 11th Canaluz Summer Basketball Clinic once again demonstrated yesterday afternoon that the training of its participants goes far beyond sports instruction . Before the start of the training session, the young attendees participated in a practical Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) workshop , offered as part of the "Cardio-Protected Basketball" project , an initiative that aims to raise awareness about the importance of acting quickly in the event of a cardiac arrest.
During the session, participants learned in a practical way the basic concepts to recognize an emergency, activate the chain of survival and correctly perform CPR maneuvers, acquiring knowledge that can be decisive in saving a life.

The activity was supported by Canaluz's Olympic ambassador and Canary Islands legend of Spanish basketball, Carmelo Cabrera , reaffirming the Clínic's commitment to promoting values such as prevention, responsibility and health education, thanks to the main sponsorship of Canaluz and the collaboration of the Gran Canaria Island Council , through the Island Sports Institute.
The program of the 11th Canaluz Summer Basketball Clinic continues this afternoon with the celebration of the highly anticipated ' Canaluz Challenge ', one of the most eagerly awaited days for the participants, which will bring together skill contests, challenges, competitions, surprises, trophies and numerous gifts before the closing ceremony scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, at the Pepe Armas courts in Siete Palmas.
