Hospitales Universitarios San Roque continues to drive technological innovation for its patients with the incorporation of the ROSA® (Robotic Orthopedic Surgical Assistant) system from Zimmer Biomet , the first orthopedic and trauma surgery robot implemented in Gran Canaria . With this acquisition, the healthcare group becomes the private hospital with the greatest commitment to robotic surgery in the Canary Islands and the first center in the province of Las Palmas to have a robot specifically designed for orthopedic surgery.
The arrival of this technology represents an important advance for the Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery Service , led by Dr. Edwin Pantaleón , a national and international reference in hip surgery and trainer of traumatologists from different countries in advanced surgical techniques.

The ROSA® robot is designed to assist surgeons during knee, hip, and shoulder replacement surgeries.
