Canaluz continues to reinforce its commitment to traditional Canarian sport and to the groups that are part of the identity of the Islands, with the launch of a pioneering initiative aimed at the nautical world.

The first Canary Islands energy supplier to serve all of Spain presented on Wednesday, together with the Canary Islands Federation of Latin Sailboats , an exclusive energy offer of 100% certified renewable origin for the entire sector in the archipelago. Its slogan is: 'Energy that tastes of sea air,' and it was accompanied by the launch of a new digital platform, specifically designed to facilitate access to this innovative proposal: https://vela.canaluz.es

It thus becomes the first electricity marketer in the Canary Islands to develop a specific energy proposal for the world of Canarian Latin Sailing and the island's nautical sector as a whole, in conjunction with its Federation.

A fixed rate, with 100% renewable energy and power, 24 hours a day

As explained by Canaluz's Commercial Director, Álvaro Brito Wildpret , "the offer designed for the nautical sector includes a 2.0TD tariff with a single energy price of €0,119/kWh for 24 hours a day, eliminating the complexity of different time periods and allowing users to know the real cost of their consumption from the outset." He added, "It also incorporates a power term of €0,07771/kW in both periods (P1 and P2), along with a no-commitment contract, with an initial duration of one year and automatic renewal, with no cancellation penalties."

Álvaro Brito highlighted that “this is complemented by the supply of 100% certified renewable energy, automatically included in all contracts and without the need for additional installations or equipment, creating a simple, transparent and competitive proposal, designed to facilitate savings and offer maximum peace of mind to people linked to the world of the sea.”

"Following the success of agreements reached with Canarian football and other social and sporting groups in the Islands, Canaluz is now expanding its commitment to local sport by promoting an energy offer specifically designed for the nautical sector with 100% certified renewable energy, thanks to the collaboration of the Canarian Federation of Latin Sailboats," said Héctor Pérez, the company's Communication and Marketing Director, during this innovative presentation, which he considered strategic for positioning the brand in its native market of origin, the Canary Islands.

Specific energy offers for large social and sporting groups in the Canary Islands

“We’re not just talking about sponsorship when we get into sports,” said Pérez. “We’re talking about Canaluz creating specific energy offers for major social and sporting groups in the Canary Islands. That’s new. I don’t know of any other company,” asserted the Director of Communication and Marketing at Canaluz, “that’s developing a strategy like this.”

"Supporting a traditional sport isn't just about putting a logo on a sail; it's about creating real opportunities and benefits for the people who keep that tradition alive," he concluded.

The presentation of this exclusive nautical tariff took place today at the headquarters of the Canary Islands Federation of Latin Sailboats, located in the Marina of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and was attended by its president, Manuel Farías, along with representatives of Canaluz, who announced an initiative that is intended to be permanent and with the aim of offering a direct benefit to those who are part of the traditional sailing ecosystem and the nautical sector in the Canary Islands.

The new proposal will allow members of this group to access a personalized study of their electricity consumption and learn about the advantages of an offer specifically designed to meet their needs, all through an exclusive web platform: https://vela.canaluz.es which simplifies the contracting process and brings Canaluz's services closer to an area with a deep tradition in the Islands.

According to Manuel Farías, president of the Federation , “this initiative is the result of close collaboration between Canaluz and the Canary Islands Federation of Latin Sailing Boats, an alliance that transcends the sporting sphere to become a project of added value for hundreds of families and individuals involved in nautical activities. Owners, crew members, skippers, managers, collaborators, federation members, clubs, and enthusiasts will be able to benefit from conditions specially designed for this group.”

A commitment that goes beyond sponsorship

The launch of this 'Energy that tastes of sea air' marks a new step in Canaluz's commitment to traditional Canarian sport. This season, the company has actively supported Canarian Latin Sailing through its sponsorship of the historic Unión Arenales, a collaboration that is now being expanded to deliver tangible benefits to the entire sector.

With this initiative, Canaluz reaffirms its approach to sponsorship, which is based on generating a real return for the groups it collaborates with. The goal is not only to support sports, but also to contribute to improving the economic well-being of those who make it possible, by providing them with competitive energy solutions, personalized service, and attentive support.

The new digital platform will allow users to quickly request a free electricity bill analysis, compare current supply conditions, and access an individualized proposal, maintaining Canaluz's philosophy of offering simple, transparent energy tailored to each customer's needs.

As the company's Director of Communication and Marketing, Héctor Pérez, said during this presentation: "Canaluz wants to give back to traditional Canarian sport some of the energy that it brings to our society every weekend."

Energy to preserve a centuries-old tradition

The Canarian Latin Sail is one of the most representative symbols of Gran Canaria's sporting and cultural heritage. Each season it brings together hundreds of athletes, volunteers, and fans who keep alive a tradition deeply rooted in the island's history.

Aware of this social value, Canaluz wanted to promote an initiative that recognizes the effort of those who dedicate their time and commitment to preserving this native sport, establishing an alliance with the Federation that aspires to continue growing in the coming years, through new collaborative actions.

The company believes that energy can also become a tool to strengthen the social and sporting fabric of the Canary Islands, generating savings opportunities for groups that represent an essential part of the identity of our land.

With this new proposal, Canaluz consolidates its strategy of collaboration with the major sports groups of the Archipelago, and reaffirms its commitment to continue supporting projects that contribute to keeping traditions alive, promoting citizen participation and strengthening Canarian sport from a commitment that goes far beyond sponsorship.
