San Roque University Hospitals renews all of its technological equipment in ultrasound machines

The Diagnostic Imaging, Breast Unit, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Intensive Care, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Cardiology, and Urology services of San Roque University Hospitals have renewed all their ultrasound equipment with the acquisition of 12 new state-of-the-art platforms and one investment greater than 500.000 euros.

 

These are different high-tech and innovative models from General Electric Healthcare that offer greater precision, better image quality and configuration alternatives to adapt them to the needs of the specialist and the patient in each study. The new equipment is already in operation both in the center of Lanzarote and in the hospitals of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Maspalomas. The areas that have received the new diagnostic technology are:

 

lAnesthesiology and Resuscitation Service is the first in Spain to be equipped with the new model VENUE FIT. Quickly quantifies lung condition in patients, one-step heart assessment, and patient ventilation status.

 

For the areas of Cardiology the models have been purchased VIVID S70 and VIVID T9. The system allows rapid acquisition of images with magnificent spatial resolution, automatic quantification of cardiac function and allowing visualization of cardiac anatomy and function in 2D, Color, Doppler and 4D formats.

 

In the field of Urology The services will have the model VERSANA PREMIERwhich provides great clarity in the images of the prostate, bladder and kidney, making the diagnosis of different diseases easier.  

 

The Area of Imaging Diagnosis has obtained the ultrasound models LOGIQ E10. that allow quantification of fat deposits 

hepatic (liver), diagnosis and monitoring of liver diseases and arterial degeneration, high resolution in the early diagnosis of breast cancer and artificial intelligence in the segmentation of breast, thyroid and liver lesions.

 

The Breast Unit in Diagnostic Imaging has been equipped with the high-end model LOGIQ S7 which provides a clear image of the vascularity of the lesion, essential in the early detection of breast cancer with and without contrast.

 

In the field of Gynecology and Obstetrics the model has been chosen VOLUSON E8 of the latest generation, image acquisition through sophisticated 3D, 4D and HD Live 5D functions, provide exceptional realism of pregnancy with anatomical realism that allows the detection of certain fetal malformations such as those of the face, spine, limbs or abdominal wall with greater precision than 2D ultrasound. 3D volumes are also obtained that allow ultrasound diagnosis of pathologies such as tumors and uterine malformations.

 

Intensive Care or ICU has been equipped with the new ultrasound machine VENUE GO, that simplifies and accelerates patient assessments with automated, AI-enabled tools.
