Ingenio taxis show off their new corporate image with emblematic places of the municipality

The taxis in the municipality display images of different corners, places and emblematic elements on their vehicles, accompanied by the website www.ingenio.es , to promote the municipality while they travel around the island, and especially at their airport stop, the main showcase for people arriving by plane to Gran Canaria.

 

The ten different designs, created by the engineering artist Iván Falcón and assigned by lottery, provide the fleet, made up of 94 licenses, with a more modern and identifying image of the town.   

 

The mayor of Villa de Ingenio, Ana Hernández, and the Councilor for Mobility, Domingo González, presented this Thursday the new corporate image in the Plaza del Buen Suceso in Carrizal, together with taxi drivers and representatives of the sector associations in the municipality.

 

Ana Hernández explained that “this support for the sector by this Government group with this change of image that identifies us and reinforces the municipality's promotional campaigns brings with it the commitment and awareness of the sector with the citizens, providing a good continuous service. and regulated.”

 

 

Domingo González, who thanked the sector for its collaboration, stated that "among the changes and improvements that have been introduced in the Municipal Ordinance of the taxi sector in the municipality of Ingenio, we have proposed a change of image in the vehicles that would identify the taxi with the municipality since it moves through the airport and other municipalities and we wanted to take advantage of that opportunity to introduce a new model, to support the sector and serve as a boost to the municipal economy.”

 

For their part, the presidents of the Association of Autotaxi and Radio Gestión Entrepreneurs, Félix Méndez and Domingo Viera, assured that this change of image “is a good initiative on the part of the City Council to promote the municipality through some of its places and most representative symbols and that the sector has received favorably" and added that "it is a change of image appropriate to the new times and colleagues from other municipalities have loved the idea and have let us know."

 

This action arises from a package of measures established by the Department of Mobility and Transport, through the drafting and approval of a new ordinance regulating the service, a tool that will enable the improvement and optimization of the provision of this public service, through no only visual measures such as the one described above, but by others of greater significance such as the approval of mandatory shifts that guarantee constant presence in the urban environment, and regulation of the conditions for the transportation of small pets in said public service, coining the PET Friendly vehicle seal.
