"Canaria, which has midland, coastal and city landscapes that are different from what other destinations offer." García thanked the Gran Canaria Cabildo for the support for the publication of this work and pointed out that “thanks to the professional work of Ángel Luis Aldai, people who see this book will be able to see that we can be an important destination on our island because, although we do not have as many hotel beds like other places, we offer landscapes, culture, festivals and gastronomy, which make us a different destination.”
The mayor of Ingenio, Ana Hernández, stated that "it is important to show our territory as a group of municipalities that have known how to work together to provide better services, and now we are showing that we can also work together at the tourism level." Hernández pointed out that "the airport is in our territory, we are the door to the island, and we must take advantage of that circumstance." Along the same lines, the mayor of Agüimes thanked Ángel Luis Aldai for the work and was in favor of the Commonwealth of the Southeast continuing to work together on different projects and in promoting tourism in the municipalities.
Photographer Ángel Luis Aldai highlighted that "I did this work in coordination with the three city councils, I made a first proposal of photographs that the mayors could see and after the contributions they gave me I already presented the final work of 90 photographs." Aldai added that "I know these municipalities well, the first photograph that was published on a poster for tourist promotion of the Sorrueda dam was taken by me in the early eighties of the last century." The photography professional said that “also in the early eighties I took photographs of the Barranco de Guayadaque, also of Pozo Izquierdo because at that time I windsurfed there, when Dunkerbeck was a child, and other places in the southeast of Gran Canaria.” .
