Ingenio installs security cameras in parks and sports spaces, monitored by the Police

The Villa de Ingenio City Council installs security cameras with alert devices with motion sensors in La Esperanza Park and the Guayadeque Sports Center, which are being monitored from the Local Police control center, in order to combat acts vandalism and provide more security to the citizens of the municipality. 

 

Carlos V Avenue in Carrizal and El Ejido, in Ingenio, will also have video surveillance devices for traffic control and regulation. 

 

The installation of these devices is a commitment of the Government group to improve security in the municipality, thus responding to neighborhood demands. Video surveillance is supervised by the Local Police and is a complement to the work carried out by the agents on the public roads of the municipality.

 

Mayor Ana Hernández explains that “we cannot continue allowing uncivil acts by a few that affect a good part of the citizens and that have as a consequence our safety, the image of our municipality and also the financial outlay that the City Council has to allocate to fix those defects.”

 

Ana Hernández highlights that "although the cameras are a citizen demand to which we respond, it is not about filling the municipality with these devices, but we consider that it is more a matter of education, civility and respect for the public."

 

Better equipment

 

The head of the Local Police, Justo Santana, also reports that the staff has new electronic data collection and verification devices (PDA) with a printer for inspection, control and traffic surveillance, which is directly connected to the data. from the General Directorate of Traffic and other databases, which allows immediate consultation to have information on vehicles, owner and driver.

 

Other improvements to the equipment, Santana reports that currently the entire Local Police staff already has single-person bulletproof and anti-puncture vests, of the NIJ (National Institute of Justice) III A category, which improve their protection and security for development. of its functions on the streets of the municipality.

 

The agents of the entire staff have also recently received training in the handling of non-lethal weapons, known in the field of security as Taser, a security element that is increasingly present in security forces at the national level that allow immobilization or incapacitate the aggressors, avoiding as much as possible causing any type of injury.

Justo Santana assures that "it is necessary that the staff agents have the necessary resources for their protection and defense because all this results in the improvement of the service they offer to the citizens of Ingenio and greater security on our streets because they are tools that "they put them at the service of the population."
