The newspaper Canarias7 revealed this Monday that the Las Palmas Prosecutor's Office has denounced the treasurer of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, Tania Naya, for the alleged commission of a crime of administrative prevarication. Naya works in seven organizations in Gran Canaria and the judicial authorities are investigating the official's multiple employment: treasurer in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, general secretary of the Valsequillo City Council, general auditor of Ingenio, secretary and treasurer in the Maspalomas Tourist Rehabilitation Consortium, controller in the Commonwealth of the Southeast of Gran Canaria, secretary and controller in the Commonwealth of Medianías of Gran Canaria and controller of the Consortium for Local Digital Terrestrial Television in the south of the island.
Canarias7 points out that in 2016 (PP) San Bartolomé de Tirajana approved a supplement between 1.500 and 1.800 euros per month, for three senior officials, the secretary, "the treasurer now being investigated and the head of the Local Police. These bonuses were eliminated by ruling of the TSJC in 2019", maintains the newspaper, which places on February 16, 2022 an order by Judge Rodrigo Álvarez Riquelme regarding
"administrative files for the appointment of the person under investigation in the seven positions she occupies." The person investigated would be Tania Naya Ortigueira, sister of the State official Noemí Naya Ortigueira.
