The Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council has started a new participatory process so that citizens can get involved in improving the municipality's Sustainable Tourism project. The initiative of the Department of Tourism consists of a survey disseminated on social networks and on the City Council website (www.santaluciagc.com). The tourist potential of the city, the activities related to tourism and the environment that could be offered or the problems that affect the municipality from a tourist point of view are some of the issues that focus the questions.
In the 16-question questionnaire, citizens are asked about ecotourism, active tourism, the tourist potential of the coast, trails, stargazing and viewpoints that the municipality has or proposals for other trails. It also considers how climate change can affect tourism activity, what the tourism potentials are: ecotourism, sports tourism, primary sector, rural tourism, the coast or the commercial area.
