Correos has launched Correos Frío, its new logistics solution for shipments that require transport at controlled temperatures, aimed at meeting the needs of companies that need to have the cold chain guaranteed for the good conservation of the products they send, both to other companies and individuals.
Correos Frío includes specific solutions for two business segments in which temperature-controlled transport becomes more relevant, pharmacy and health and food, for the shipment of pharmaceutical products, vaccines or cosmetics, as well as fresh products to supermarkets. , communities and the horeca sector (hospitality and restaurants).
This involves the use of sensorized isothermal boxes, with which Correos will be able to monitor the temperature, humidity or possible impacts from the collection of the shipment to its delivery and provide this information in real time to customers. Through the use of IoT technology - Internet of Things -, these boxes allow different temperature ranges to be used to adapt transport to the needs of each product and guarantee the cold chain, so that customers will be able to know what temperature it is at. your product at all times, keep it within the chosen range for up to 5 days and you will receive alerts of any variation in the cold chain.
