Some theorists say that Murphy's law also holds true in reverse, that is: when something can go well, it is most likely that it will go well.
In the case of our tourism sector, Murphy's law is going to be confirmed in a very positive sense, but for this we have to prepare and undertake, from now on, all the challenges that we have pending.
The importance of our sector in the economy and employment of our region (33% and 35%) respectively is hidden from no one, but it is also known to all that we have a great task before us to be able to get on the Next Generation train. of tourism with the guarantee of riding in the global locomotive of the sector.
We all have to do our part: Public Sector, Private Sector, companies and professionals to successfully address the incorporation of the fundamental pillars of this new era for tourist destinations:
Aesthetics, Professionalism, Sustainability, Ecological and Digitalized.
In the Canary Islands and in Gran Canaria specifically, both in the public and private sectors and in our universities, there is talent and professional knowledge to design and execute a plan to incorporate, with guarantees of success, into the new era of tourist destinations. .
Very important and dynamic plans have been made for the sector, such as those for improvement and modernization that have given such good results at a business, social and employment level and that should be reissued as soon as possible. These plans significantly activate both employment and the economy of the sector and help the modernization of the tourist plant.
There is still time, despite the uncertainties that currently hang over the world's economies, for Murphy's inverse law to be fulfilled in our main sector: tourism.
Let's get to work now
