The Department of Heritage of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has carried out the necessary procedures for the free transfer to the southern Consistory of the streets, parking lots and green areas of the “El Patronato” urbanization, consisting of 300 homes, in San Fernando de Maspalomas, which, to this day, belong to the Liquidation Commission of the Francisco Franco Charitable Construction Board.
In a document presented to the Liquidation Commission of the Francisco Franco Charitable Construction Board, dated January 20, 2022, signed by the Councilor for the Municipal Treasury and Heritage Areas of the Illustrious City Council of the Villa de San Bartolomé de Tirajana Mrs. María Inés Rodríguez Moreno, states that "It is the will of this Department of Municipal Heritage to proceed with the regularization of the aforementioned areas, through, among other actions, the reception of them."
On March 2, 2022, in the session of the Liquidation Commission of the Francisco Franco Charitable Construction Board, the agreement for the free transfer to the City Council of the Villa de San Bartolomé de Tirajana was unanimously approved by those present. Therefore, in the coming weeks the Deed of Transfer will be signed by the Liquidation Commission and the City Council.
The Councilor for Municipal Heritage, Inés Rodríguez, has highlighted “the importance of receiving the free transfer of these areas due to the state of deterioration that the parking and green areas present, thus being able to carry out adequate maintenance and publicly provide them with everything necessary. for its beautification.”
The Francisco Franco Charitable Construction Board, of Las Palmas, is the owner of full ownership of the entire property, which includes the internal roads, as well as the parking lots and green areas of this urbanization, since October 2, 1973. .
“Not only is it a historical milestone, but it is also a solution to a demand from the residents of El Patronato, in San Fernando de Maspalomas that, after many years, even decades, has a response from this City Council. ”says Inés Rodríguez.
The space subject to free transfer is made up of streets, parking lots and green areas, in a consolidated urbanization, for incorporation into the municipal heritage of San Bartolomé de Tirajana with the nature of public domain, which occupies a surface area, in which refers to the streets in question, 8.848 square meters; 2.646 meters, the parking areas; and 1.778 square meters, the green areas.
