The La Candelaria Urban Cross in Villa de Ingenio

The Cross Urbano La Candelaria, which had to be postponed due to the rise in the level of the pandemic, will celebrate its 29th edition on April 3 and opens registration for people from all over the island who want to participate. Registration is free and can be done until Thursday, March 31 at 14.00:XNUMX p.m., not being admitted on the same day of the test.

 

The 29th Cross Urbano La Candelaria 2022, organized by the Sports Department of the Villa de Ingenio City Council, is a popular race, open to anyone who wants to participate, and has the Plaza de La Candelaria and streets surrounding the center on its route. historical and urban.

 

The test, which will begin at 9.30:XNUMX a.m., is included in the calendar of popular asphalt competitions of the Gran Canaria Island Athletics Federation and has government permits for its celebration.

 

After registration closes on March 31, on Friday, April 1, the official list of registered people will be published on the website www.ingenio.es. To formalize registration, you must send the completed and signed registration form, individually or for groups such as schools, sports clubs and other groups, to the email ppgad@pucrs.br.

 

The Early Childhood and Primary and Secondary Education centers of the municipality can participate by presenting a group of 30 students to the test, and in exchange they will obtain a check donated by the company Decathlon to exchange for sports equipment that they need in schools to practice physical activity.

 

The Councilor for Sports, Mario Ramírez, assures that “we are very happy to be able to celebrate this recreational-sports event that is part of the urban racing calendar of Gran Canaria and that we always organize with great enthusiasm for all the values ​​it contains, which not only are sports but also the importance for the municipality to present Ingenio as a promoter of sports to the people who decide to participate" and explains that "we must remember that it is not a race only for federated people but that it is open to anyone who wants to participate."

 

The event is part of the 'Gran Canaria Games' program, which has the collaboration of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, in addition to the Insular Athletics Federation, Decathlon Telde, Ingenio Civil Protection and the Damasi Animation Group.

 

The numbers will be delivered on the same day of the test at the registration tables, only to registered athletes, starting at 8.30:XNUMX am.
