The students who attended the IX Awakening Vocations Education Exhibition this Wednesday morning, organized by the Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council in collaboration with the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the centers, were able to find answers to these and other questions. secondary and high school education of the municipality.

The mayor of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Francisco García, the rector of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Lluís Serra and the Councilor for Education, Yaiza Pérez, toured the different stands and spoke with students and teachers. The mayor highlights that “we are returning to normality, and thanks to the Department of Education with the collaboration of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the educational centers of our municipality, this Education Exhibition has been able to return.” The first mayor adds that "here the students and teachers can find out what future professionals they may have and what educational offer our university has." The rector Lluís Serra considers that "it is important to build bridges between vocational training and the university, the new legislation makes itineraries more flexible and adapts them better to new needs." The head of the academic institution added that "it is essential to take the university out onto the streets, universities cannot be enclosed in glass bubbles, that is why we must interact with all the institutions as we are doing today with the City Council and go out into the streets to "We will all work towards a common goal: to prepare the future of our youth as best as possible."
