The Government of the Canary Islands has confirmed this Thursday that it has no decision on the table regarding the transfer of the Ceisa de Santa Águeda cement factory to other parts of the island as claimed by PP, CC and Unidos. In a response to the PP in the Canary Islands Parliament and to which Maspalomas24H has had access, the PSOE says that it will continue debating until there is consensus. The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council and AV ask that this infrastructure stay where it is, a thesis that Podemos also defends.

In the written response requested by the PP, the Department of Public Works, Transport and Housing of the Government of the Canary Islands says that the meeting held on November 30, 2021 with Mayor Concepción Narváez (PSOE), "no agreement was closed with her; only she was given a hearing (and also the Save the Bay of Santa Águeda Platform) to express her opinion on the future destiny of this port facility, which is the exclusive responsibility of the public administration of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands. ".

The Canarian Government indicates in the letter that "as has been stated on different occasions", the objective of the working commission "is to listen to all affected parties and collect all the necessary reports so that the optimal decision is reached regarding its use in based on the variables of a social, economic, labor, tourist, industrial and landscape nature that are influenced.
