Interested clubs and teams must submit their applications before next May 9.
The sports clubs of Agüimes will be able to apply, starting today and until next May 9, for the municipal subsidy that the City Council grants each year to promote federated sports practice. The call was published this Friday in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas.
The total amount of the aid amounts to 101.000 euros which, according to the rules of the call, will be distributed on a percentage basis between the different sports modalities. 39% will be allocated to soccer clubs, 15% to Canarian wrestling, 13% to indoor soccer, 8% to basketball, 3,5% to martial arts, another 3,5% to volleyball, another 3,5, 14,5% to other Canarian sports and the remaining XNUMX% will be allocated to sports disciplines different from the previous ones.
To be eligible for aid, interested entities must submit, along with the general subsidy application form, supporting documentation for the number of federative licenses processed during the current season, the project for which they are requesting a subsidy, the income budget and expenses of the activity, the statutes of the entity and the accreditation certification of its legal representatives, as well as documentation of being up to date with tax obligations.
With this call for subsidies, the Agüimes City Council aims to support the work carried out by sports entities for the benefit of the population. Clubs provide the right environment to practice sport, both at educational and competitive levels. They are also promoters of healthy lifestyle habits and energizers of the different population centers of the municipality, which makes them organizations of public utility and social interest.
In the last call in 2021, 24 sports entities received these subsidies, representing around 1.600 federation licenses and around 90 competition teams in different age categories.
