Burrero beach will have a surveillance and lifeguard service during the Easter holidays. The team of professionals arranged in the bathing area is made up of three people, two aquatic lifeguards and a service coordinator, who will have the necessary material resources to carry out their work.
The operation goes into service this Friday, the 8th, and will remain on the coast until Sunday, April 17, from 10.30:18.30 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., and the company responsible is Pro-Activa Serveis Aquàtics SL
This rescue and lifeguard service is reinforced with the 'OneUp' system totems installed last summer on Burrero beach and San Agustín beach or Atrás beach, which contain several folded, light and compact life preservers that open when entering contact with sea water when a dangerous situation arises for bathers and thus improve and reinforce safety in the bathing areas of the municipality's coast.
Public bathrooms will also remain open to the public from 8.00:19.00 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.
The Beach Department of the City Council also reports on the completion of the works aimed at improving the services of Burrero beach, among which the new access ramp towards the maritime avenue for people with reduced mobility stands out, the installation of an area shade or accessible point, as well as the renovation of the showers, sea state signaling masts (during the surveillance service period) and the installation of an access walkway to the beach area and solarium platform.
The Councilor for Beaches of the Villa de Ingenio City Council, Minerva Artiles, explains that “the beach surveillance contract that we signed last year until 2024 allows us to offer this service also at Easter and it will be activated again in the summer, during the interval from July 1 to September 30”.
