Access walkways for people with reduced mobility, shade pergolas, rehabilitation of showers and footbaths, are some of the actions that have been carried out.
The City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, through the Department of Coastal and Beach Care, led by councilor Tito Herrera Abrante, has prepared the municipality's beaches in order to face Holy Week and the summer season, which is expected to be a sign of tourist recovery in every sense. To this end, in recent months different improvement actions have been undertaken on the beaches of Meloneras, Faro de Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés and San Agustín.
Specifically, work has been done to improve accessibility, with the installation of walkways that facilitate access for people with reduced mobility and that also have a canopy that allows them to protect themselves from the sun if necessary. On the other hand, containers and new bins for selective garbage collection have been installed at all accesses to the different beaches. In addition to these actions, the rehabilitation of the footbaths and showers and the installation of stainless steel railings on the access stairs are also added.
Elsewhere, all the information panels on the beaches have been replaced, which have updated information, new maps and pictograms for each of them with the most relevant information.
