Conchi Narváez and her misgovernment group do not care about the tourism industry of Maspalomas
The state of certain infrastructures in the tourist area worries both residents and visitors. Residents because they value our destination and know that it is what generates economy for the entire island and therefore, we must take care of it. And to those who visit us because they carry in their retina images that they have never seen before in this municipality of neglect. and abandonment, since many tourists are repeaters and regular consumers of our brand. And others who do it for the first time and who do not have the best of memories.
A municipal government worth its salt cannot lose sight of this objective and has to apply policies that result in investments and maintenance of the tourist area in order to reap the benefits.
The current municipal government has not only lost two blue flags, it has had the beaches without sunbed services for almost three years, but the kiosks continue without providing a service and the deterioration is unfortunately advancing by leaps and bounds.
The decisions made by the rulers continue along this line of absurdities. “Conchi Narváez neglects tourism, now the City Council suppresses with cement the palm trees that provided shade and beautified the Paseo Costa Canaria, the main tourist balcony towards Playa del Inglés, a mandatory stop to capture snapshots and enjoy the views,” said Elena Álamo Vega, spokesperson for PP-AV. “The insensitivity of the quadripartite towards the tourist promenade of Playa del Inglés is shameful.” These images serve as a proof of their enormous inability to govern,” stressed the opposition leader.
