The Tourism Office of Santa Lucía de Tirajana has once again achieved the 'Tourist Quality Commitment Seal' (SICTED) for its tourist services as part of the SICTED project (Comprehensive System for Tourist Quality in Destination) of Turespaña promoted by the Secretariat of Tourism State. It is the seventh time that the commitment to tourist quality of this City Council office, which is located in Era Park, in Vecindario, has been recognized.
This recognition was recently presented by the president of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, to the Councilor for Tourism, Coastal, Youth and Transparency of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Ana Mayor. To achieve this, an audit was carried out to verify compliance with quality guidelines, which have to do with the exterior and interior of the office, security measures, emergency exits, signage for tourists and locals, templates for collecting complaints or suggestions or the training that your staff has received.
In addition to the Vecindario Tourism office, during this term another tourist information point was inaugurated in the Santa Lucía Caso park, next to the Town Hall. Neighborhood office hours are from 8.30:14.30 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. In addition to street maps, tourists are provided with information on museums, cultural activities, accommodations, rural houses, etc. The office is also present on social networks with a Facebook page and Instagram account.
The Councilor for Tourism, Coastal, Youth and Transparency, Ana Mayor, highlights that “this recognition encourages us to continue working so that both the Tourism Office in the Parque de la Era, and the one in the upper area, are two points reference information for our visitors.” The councilor adds that "although in recent months those who have come closest are people from other municipalities, from the City Council we are going to continue spreading our landscapes, our cultural, commercial, gastronomic and restaurant offering, and the variety of places to visit that we There are both in the upper area and in the urban part and the coast”
