Within the Beautification and Conditioning Plan that is being developed in different enclaves of the municipality, by the Department of Parks and Gardens of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, yesterday a group of workers carried out a plantation in flowerbeds and garden areas of the Avenue of Gáldar.
It was the mayor Conchi Narváez herself, accompanied by the head of the area, Nélida García, who made a visit to verify, in situ, the satisfactory progress and change that this nerve center for the municipality's economy is experiencing.
As is known, this road is located in the central core of the Open Commercial Zone of San Fernando which, since last February, has been the scene of a profound reform and modernization of all its public spaces; among these, the improvement of its green areas.
The creation of a new parking lot with 63 new spaces, a work that has been underway for two months; the new lighting, which will generate greater safety for passers-by; The coverings of the pedestrian pavements and a new enclosure, among others, make up a package of actions included in the reconditioning project that is being carried out on the section of Avenida de Tirajana, located between Avenida de Gáldar and Avenida de Alejandro of the Castle.
“We are providing greater potential and attractiveness to the Open commercial area of San Fernando,” said the first mayor during her visit to the place yesterday morning.
It should be noted that this planting of specimens of different species has been possible thanks to the subsidy that the Government of the Canary Islands and the Commonwealth of Medianías has granted for the Open Commercial Zone through the management of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce, whose person is Antonio Pérez. .
