The Citizen Services Office of the Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council will increase its staff by 40 percent to be able to better serve residents. In addition, among the planned improvements, a video call service will be established, in addition to maintaining direct face-to-face care for urgent procedures and care by appointment.
During the month of April, 1225 people were assisted in person at the Citizen Service Office, although the OAC staff carried out a total of 1837 entry registrations last month (since it is necessary to include the procedures that arrive through the Lexnet system and by postal mail). The most requested procedure in the OAC was that of registration certificates, in April a total of 3279 were issued. Also in the month of April alone, 308 cadastral certificates were issued. OAC staff have also made digital certificates.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 50 daily appointments were made, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, days when the OAC opens morning and afternoon, 70 prior appointments were made. In addition, citizens who did not have an appointment were attended to for procedures such as requests for payment installments, application of reduced rates for large families and other urgent procedures.
The councilor responsible for the Citizen Assistance Office, Sergio Vega, highlights that "the procedures are already being carried out to increase staff, which will help us improve the attention to our neighbors both in quality and quantity." Vega adds that "we are modernizing our service and with video call assistance we are going to facilitate and speed up the procedures, and we will be able to respond to neighbors who have problems getting to the OAC."
