Ogadenia Couture and its “Reborn in Tuscany” collection completed the first day of the eighth edition of this event dedicated to the bridal sector, first communion and other ceremonies
Sculptural silhouettes with stylized necklines and strategic oversized floral embroidery. This is the Couture Brides collection 'WHITE BLOOM' that designer Hannibal Laguna presented this Wednesday at the first Bridal Collection Gran Canaria Moda Cálida fashion show that takes place until Friday at the emblematic Hotel Santa Catalina in the island's capital.
The haute couture brand wanted to celebrate, with the official presentation of this collection on the island, its 35th anniversary on the catwalks. And for this reason, at the end of her show, Modesto Lomba, president of the Association of Fashion Creators in Spain, presented her with a commemorative plaque.
This collection is a fusion of historical creations with inspirations from the Canary archipelago. Unique, elegant and timeless pieces, created by hand as authentic jewels.
The Miguel Martín-Fernández de la Torre room and the audience witnessed the exquisiteness of this collection of sculpted carvings with edging and cords of cut crystal, pearly, shiny and luminous. To which are added relief textures that remind us of a dream garden, filled with raffia flowers, translucent leaves, painted petals and abstract motifs inspired by the beautiful Canarian flora.
Since the fashion brand Hannibal Laguna presented its first collection with the legendary and iconic bustiers as protagonists in the 80s, its sophisticated hallmark has crossed borders and is a reference on international red carpets and at prestigious society events. . On this occasion, and for the first time, the designer shows his creations on this catwalk that has been held for eight years in Gran Canaria and which has become a benchmark in the bridal and ceremony fashion sector.
The second show of the first day was presented by Ogadenia Couture. The Gran Canaria Moda Cálida brand showcased a preview of its 2023 Prêt-à-Couture collection , entitled “Rebirth in Tuscany.” The designs, inspired by the Renaissance, aim to draw a parallel with the rebirth of fashion in the post-Covid era of 2022, prioritizing craftsmanship over mass production.
Indeed, the artisanal quality of her creations shone on the catwalk, thanks to the carefully chosen fabrics, such as silk georgette , satin, damask, and silk velvet, which blended seamlessly with tweed , openwork, lace, and embroidery. Attendees were able to appreciate firsthand the richness of her embroidery and openwork, inherent in each of this Canary Islands designer's creations.
