Around 22:00 p.m., May 4, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which they reported that a vehicle had collided at high speed with another of the Emergency Service. Highways and that one of the occupants could have been trapped inside on the GC-1, exit from El Carrizal, Ingenio.
A male (driver of the private vehicle), whose age is unknown, with severe multiple trauma, transported in a medicalized ambulance from the SUC to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria where he died.
Second male (companion of the private vehicle), whose age is unknown, who at the initial moment of assistance presented various traumas of a moderate nature, transported in a sanitized ambulance from the SUC to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
A woman, whose age is unknown, who at the initial time of care presented with moderate chest trauma, was transferred in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
Third Male, whose age is unknown, who at the initial moment of assistance presented various traumas of a moderate nature, transferred in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
Fourth male, whose age is unknown, who at the initial time of assistance presented various moderate traumas, transferred in a sanitized ambulance from the SUC to the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
The SUC health personnel together with the doctor from the area's health center carried out the assessment and assistance of all those affected, as well as their transfer to hospitals.
Firefighters freed the driver of the private vehicle and collaborated with the intervening services.
Civil Guard instructed the corresponding procedures.
