In the early morning of May 24, agents of the Mogán Local Police intercepted a man in the nightlife area of the Puerto Rico Shopping Center selling nitrous oxide capsules, popularly known as 'laughing gas', which, when inhaled, can cause hallucinogenic effects and a euphoric state.
The man was in possession of 17 aluminum capsules of this gas, as well as colored balloons for its preparation and consumption. The agents saw him offering this substance to a tourist and, upon being surprised, he tried to leave the place but they managed to stop him, using nitrous oxide as well as two ten-euro bills and another twenty euros in coins.
