The Maspalomas Summer University will offer, for the first time in its program, a Film Dubbing workshop, taught by Joaquin Casais, in which participants will have the opportunity to learn about the world of dubbing up close, in a fun and all practical.
In this workshop, registered people will learn all the techniques and tricks to make a good dubbing, from humorous dialogues, dramatic scenes or for animated films and series.

The program will offer basic dubbing synchronization techniques for beginners, an approach to the world of dubbing; the script, the lectern and the microphone and the interpretation techniques applied to dubbing. Students will be able to learn to perform diction exercises; character study and how to position yourself at the lectern; The importance of gestures; body language in dubbing. The workshop will conclude with real dubbing practices of different scenes from movies and series.
Joaquín Casais Martín, “Ayaki', is a dubbing professor at the Canary Islands Film Institute and a well-known YouTuber and content creator in the Canary Islands. Ayaki has become popular for making humor by dubbing movies with a Canarian accent. He is the author of MundoAyaki.com and the YouTube channel “MundoAyaki” which has subscribers and millions of views.
Among his most notable works on the internet are the saga 'el Asadero', 'Doctor Fly', 'Chano el dangerous' and 'Mosca en Tejeda'. He is an audiovisual editor and graphic designer and has worked as a Community Manager responsible for Community and Social Networks for several football clubs, such as UD Villa Santa.
