The Local Police of Mogán arrested a young man on Thursday, June 29, for an alleged crime of robbery with intimidation and violence to seize a bag in the town of Arguineguín
The victim, surprised on the street by the alleged thief around 6:00 a.m., appeared in a nervous state at the police station to report what had happened, after which two patrol officers were informed and, shortly after, realized of the presence of a man behind a palm tree in a garden area.
When he saw one of the agents, he left his sneakers behind and ran barefoot, with a stone in hand in an intimidating manner, arriving at the IES Arguineguín, where he jumped over the fence and accessed the roof of the facility. Two Civil Guard patrols are then mobilized.
The janitor of the educational center facilitates access to the upper part of the building for the Local Police agents, who locate the alleged perpetrator of the crime lying and hidden behind a gas tank. After ignoring police instructions, the man begins his escape again, jumping towards the lower floor and the wall that separates the facilities from the street. Once he manages to get out, he tries to escape by running through the dirt field that is located in front of the IES Arguineguín. The chase continues with the Civil Guard agents until the man is finally intercepted, maintaining at all times an aggressive and defiant attitude as well as extreme resistance.
The complainant's belongings were located at the point where agents first saw the alleged thief, and along with these there were also two mobile phones and keys. At another point near the place of the robbery, an electric skateboard appeared abandoned, which is being investigated as possibly belonging to this individual, since during the month of February several people reported a man with similar characteristics and with this type of vehicle for jerking in the area. of night bars at the Ancora Shopping Center.
