Maspalomas24h Thursday, July 07, 2022

The streets of the fishing neighborhood of Arguineguín will once again experience one of its most notable traditional activities, the Pilgrimage-Offering to the Virgin of Carmen. This Saturday, July 9, starting at 19:00 p.m., around twenty carts and another 20 parrandas and folk groups will attend the event. For the smooth development of the event, the Mogán City Council and the Local Police make a series of recommendations regarding transportation, parking and clothing.

Among these recommendations and rules, the obligation to wear traditional clothing stands out; if you do not do so, you must remain outside the limits delimited for the route.

After 19:00 p.m., after the Eucharist, the Pilgrimage-Ofrenda will leave from Manuel Álamo Suárez Avenue (Carpintero de Ribera), passing through Miguel Marrero Street and Graciliano Afonso Street. Then you will cross the GC-500 highway to Plaza Pérez Galdós, where the offering will be made. At the end there will be a taifa dance in Plaza Pérez Galdós with the groups El Mejunje and Los Boinas.
