This infrastructure will prevent 20 minors from having to travel from Mogán, San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Santa Lucía to their centers in the north of the island.
The Councilor for Education of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Clara Martel, together with the PSC deputy, Pino González, visited the new Pedrazo Special Education Classroom to find out the status of execution of the work.
The two public officials showed their satisfaction at being able to verify the good pace of the work and the magnificent facilities that the Special Education students in the south of the island of Gran Canaria will have for the next academic year.
With the opening of this educational facility, students will be prevented from having to travel to Telde to receive their training.
This work has been possible thanks to the willingness of Deputy González who presented the proposal in the regional Parliament, requesting the construction of a special education center in the south of Gran Canaria and the subsequent positive response from the Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Canary Islands Government.
"The opening of the Pedrazo Special Education Classroom allows us to respond to the needs of twenty minors and their families, who until now had to travel from the municipality of Mogán, San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Santa Lucía to Telde," highlighted the councilor Martel, who thanked on behalf of the mayor and the entire corporation for the support of the deputy and the department itself.
This work responds to the demand for quality educational infrastructure that allows the full development of the right to education under equal conditions.
