The course changes date, due to scheduling issues, and registration is still open
The course 'Film Creation and Production', coordinated by filmmaker Víctor Moreno, will be held from July 25th to 29th at the El Tablero Cultural Center, as part of the Maspalomas Summer University. Registration for this course (€50) can be completed online at: https://www.universidadveranomaspalomas.org/materias/87/ . Basic technical equipment for filming and editing will be provided. The 40-hour course will consist of full days of 4-hour sessions, both morning and afternoon.
Several professionals from the Audiovisual sector in the Canary Islands will share their knowledge and experience, through theoretical lessons and practical classes, and will explain the process carried out from creative to production aspects. The objective is to introduce students to the possibilities of audiovisual language in its different film forms.
The course is completed with the completion of filming practices with the recording of a short film that the students themselves will make, coordinated by Víctor Moreno, filmmaker and producer, director of films such as 'The Hidden City' and 'Edificio España' and CEO of the Kino Pravda production company.

On Tuesday, July 26, director and producer Víctor Moreno will talk about 'Staging as artistic expression'. In the afternoon, the producer Silvia Sánchez will speak, to present different aspects of 'Film production in Spain'.
The morning session on Wednesday, July 27, will be dedicated to 'Montage as cinematographic writing', by Nayra Sanz, filmmaker and editor. In the afternoon, the students will have a common staging session and pre-production of filming practices.
On Thursday, July 28, the practices will begin with the filming of the short film. On Friday, July 29, the students will carry out the post-production and assembly work and, in the afternoon, the work completed will be screened.
Biography of Victor Moreno
Filmmaker Víctor Moreno (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) studied Philosophy and Literature and holds a Master's degree in Creative Documentary from Pompeu Fabra University. His film career highlights include the feature films "La ciudad oculta" (The Hidden City), winner of the Feroz Award for Best Documentary, and "Edificio España" (Spain Building), nominated for a Goya Award for Best Documentary, as well as the internationally acclaimed short films "La piedra" (The Stone) and "El extraño" (The Stranger). For three years, he was the artistic director of the Lanzarote Film Festival. " El Exterior" (The Outside) is the new feature film by Canarian filmmaker Víctor Moreno and the production company Kino Pravda, a project currently in development and slated to be filmed in the Canary Islands in 2023.
