From Monday to Thursday of this week, the neighborhood square will be the scene of children's games and performances. Music and dancing will take over during the weekend.

The neighborhood of La Banda, in the municipality of Agüimes, will celebrate its festivities throughout this week in honor of the Virgen del Carmen. From this Monday until next Sunday, July 17, the neighborhood square will be the center of the different recreational and festive activities scheduled for the occasion, among which those dedicated to children will have a special role.
Every afternoon, at 17:00 p.m., from Monday to Thursday, children's games will be held for the enjoyment of the little ones. Also on Thursday, at 21:00 p.m., the clown Zapitto will perform, delighting boys and girls with his fun magic acts, balloon twisting, music and humor.
The holiday weekend will be for the more adult audience. On Friday, at 21:00 p.m., the Sensación ballet will perform, with its always lively music and dance show. On Saturday the religious function and procession will take place. At night, starting at 22:30 p.m., the main festival will be held, entertained by Brisa Latin Show. The final cherry on top of the festivities will be on Sunday, at 15:00 p.m., with the performance of the popular Tenerife singer Pepe Benavente.
After two years of waiting due to the pandemic, the La Banda festivities will once again bring together neighbors, eager to share joys in an atmosphere of fraternization. The celebration will once again be an ideal occasion to strengthen the feeling of community in a neighborhood that has always distinguished itself as one of the most involved and socially committed population centers in the municipality of Agüimes.
